Your experience begins with a guided walk through our immaculate estate vineyard, where we share the story of our organic farming practices, and take a look at our award-winning architecture. A short film will follow, where you will be immersed in our storied history and gain a glimpse into the future of Mission Hill Family Estate. Then, a seated tasting of carefully selected Reserve wines that showcase the art and nature of our winemaking and the richness and diversity of the Okanagan Valley.

The Diverse Nature of Our Terroir

The complexity of the Okanagan Valley and the diversity of its  micro-climates and soil types is nothing short of spectacular. Our distinctive soil types and slopes conspire to yield a dramatic viticultural landscape which produces intense and balanced fruit  from vines rooted deep in ancient volcanic and glacial soils. 

Your experience begins with a guided walk through our estate vineyard, where our sommelier will share our organic farming practices and discuss why we are so selective in planting specific vines in different parts of the valley. A short film will follow, giving an insight into the past, present, and future of Mission Hill Family Estate. Your experience culminates in an intimate, guided tasting of wines from our Terroir Collection – single-vineyard wines, produced in such limited quantities that they are only available at the winery.

BEHIND CLOSED DOORS

A Focus on the Cellar & the Art of Pairing

Our sommelier will guide you on a behind-the-scenes stroll of our temperature and humidity controlled underground barrel cellar, blasted out of volcanic rock, where our wines gently rest and age. Finally, you will arrive at our private Chagall Room, featuring one of only 29 Marc Chagall tapestries in existence, for a guided experience devoted to the art of wine pairing. Enjoy a sample of our estate grown fare alongside a lineup of new release wines, highlighting our approach to wine and food pairing.

PRIVATE LUNCH AT THE ESTATE

An Immersive Gastronomic Adventure

This experience is designed for you to enjoy a wine paired lunch while overlooking the beauty of our estate winery and the Okanagan Valley. Your visit starts in our estate vineyard where our sommelier will discuss the origins of the Okanagan Valley and the ancient, glacial and volcanic soils that make up this unique place. Following a visit to our underground barrel cellar, a private table awaits you on our loggia. Once seated, you will be guided through four seasonal dishes paired with our wines.

A LASTING LEGACY

The Pinnacle of Food and Wine

Find refuge from the hurried pace of daily life through this wine and culinary experience. Guided by our sommelier, enjoy a leisurely walk through our estate vineyard as we share stories of our organic viticulture and winemaking. From the vineyard, our sommelier will take you to our underground barrel cellar where you will taste wine directly from the barrel. 

A guided wine and food pairing experience will follow, created by Chef Patrick Gayler to highlight wines from our Legacy Collection – exceptionally rare and limited in production. Seated at a lakeside table at the Terrace Restaurant,your dining experience will feature produce organically farmed in our own gardens, and sustainable farmers we partner with throughout the valley.
